NEW! Qigong Classes at Healium


We're pleased to announce a new offering in our class schedule: a five-week course in qigong led by Healium practitioner Michelle Wood.

Qigong is an ancient health practice from China based on a holistic view of human life. It's a harmonious, meditative practice that joins breathing with gentle, flowing movements to exercise the body and calm the mind.

Over the course of five weekly classes you will learn how the practice of qigong helps us:

  • manage stress effectively;
  • bring mindfulness to our everyday activities;
  • focus our mind inward in order to work on our challenges - mental, emotional and physical;
  • attain our natural calm, relaxed, joyous and balanced state.

You'll also learn qi therapy techniques for self-healing. The qigong taught in this course is Zhineng Qigong, a safe and effective form developed over 20 years of study and which incorporates the essence of traditional qigong in theory and practice.

Where: Healium.

When: 6.30 to 7.30 pm Thursdays beginning 4 July.

How Much: $99 for the five-week course; or $22 drop-in per session.

What: Five-week course in Zhineng Qigong.

Who: Michelle Wood. In addition to working as a massage therapist and naturopath, Michelle's been an ardent student of qigong for many years.
